Happy Birthday Sonja!
On the 21st of June, team HID had Bowling and Laser Skirmish
Night to celebrate the Birthday of Sonja Hosking.
The night at Cross Roads AMF involved two friendly and yet competitive games of
ten-pin bowling and one very exciting game of Laser Skirmish!
(Laser skirmish is extremely fun and not for the faint hearted!
It was a great way to celebrate Sonja’s birthday and everyone had a fantastic time.

Jacky’s Sculpture in SA Life Magazine May 13, 2011
Congratulations Jacky!
Hosking Interior Design’s senior designer Jacky Spencer recently exhibited her masterpiece sculpture at the Brighton Jetty Classic Sculpture Exhibition. The sculpture entitled ‘Miss Them When They’re Gone’ won the Runner Up prize for Outdoor Sculptures and was featured in an advertisement for the exhibition in SA Life Magazine.

Three of our Hosking Interior Designers were recently pictured in Adelaide Review Magazine’s March issue after attending the launch of 22 new Laminex colours. Laminex’s Currie street showroom buzzed as Master Chef Callum Hann completed a cooking demonstration inspired by three of the new colours.

HID would like to Congratulate our Senior Designer, Jacky Spencer on Winning the Shapeways-Despoke Design Competition. Her ‘Mama’ seat, was selected as the winner of the competition and was displayed at 100% design in London. Jacky’s model was 3-D printed in flexible plastic as was also featured on Despoke .com and the DIA website. Check out the links below for more information:

Jacky’s Sculpture! January 19, 2011
We would like to congratulate our senior designer, Jacky Spencer on having an entry into the Brighton Jetty Classic Sculpture Exhibition. The exhibition begins on the 26th of January (Australia Day) and goes until the 6th of Febuary.
Please go along and see her sculpture which is called “Miss them when they’re gone”. Jacky describes it as ”a conceptual piece about the future and current rate of melting of the polar icecaps and how we have, at this precise moment in time, an opportunity to do something about slowing it down or even stopping it now.”

Adelaide Park(ing) Day September 20, 2010
Last Friday, 17th September 2010, Adelaide held it’s first Park(ing) Day event. Hosking Interior Design was one of the 12 companies involved in this event. We converted a carpark spot along Pulteney St in the city and although not a lot of people were aware of the event, most passers-by welcomed our fun and entertaining installation, some even participated by writing comments on our cardboard people while munching on some homemade treats.
We would like to thank everyone who visited us last Friday, we certainly appreciate you coming down on your lunch break to share some time with us. For everyone who voted for us, thanks for picking us as the best “park” of the day. Hope one of you win the trio of wines.
